Eskal-8 Publishing was founded in 2007 by Norwegian writer/producer Carsten Moss and UK songwriter Sue Ballingall.
After spending 5 years working as a session player and producer in NYC, Carsten returned to his native Norway where he started pop duo Opus X, signed with Sony Music and had a string of chart successes including Number 1 hit 'Loving You Girl'.
Looking for new challenges he relocated to London in 2006 and co founded Eskal-8 with Sue Ballingall.
Sue has been working for many years as a session vocalist and guitarist in the UK and also internationally, both live and in the studio. She has worked extensively for major labels, having toured in the UK, Europe and the US.
She began her own production company in 2001 and since then has written, co-written and licensed over 60 tracks for release to various companies for artists, advertising and film.
In the short time they have been working together the projects are starting to mount up.
Writing together themselves, and also representing other writers and producers they recently placed a song on a compilation CD called 'Urban Twist', due out later this year, placed a jazz tune in a new Hollywood feature film called 'Happy Holidays' (check out 'friends'), have a number of country/pop crossover and RnB songs in production for the US market and also currently producing tracks for a sensational new UK RnB artist.
The other day i posted a new track called 'Brand New Cadillac' The main line being 'you can have the farm and I'll take that brand new cadillac'. It's a neo-traditional country song. This song has a tongue in cheek feel about a woman divorcing her cheating husband. The dog didn't die in this one : ) Any feedback is appreciated, and thanks for listening!
